Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a proud Troon facility in Muscat, Oman, LA VIE Club. Previously known as Muscat Hills, LA VIE Club has received significant financial investment over the past couple of years to bring the golf course and the golf experience in line with the highest of Troon standards.
The last time I visited was in February, so during my visit I was also able to experience the newly opened Terrace by LA VIE and meet some of the food and beverage team. Food and beverage is an integral part of the golf club experience and Terrace by LA VIE provides a family-friendly dining experience with a great menu and some unique views of the golf course, Indian Ocean, and Al Hajar mountains!
Our partners, Ominvest, have further plans to enhance the development with the addition of an 80-room boutique hotel managed by global hospitality giant – Tivoli. The hotel boasts a rooftop swimming pool that is 70 meters long, providing stunning views of the golf course and will also feature a private health club and spa operated by the world-leading brand Anantara. Additionally, Tivoli will manage 100 fully serviced apartments. It’s these amenities and investments that will elevate the experience for golf tourists and travelers to the region.
Oman, situated on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula is a country is full with beautiful scenery and unique scenery with its striking mix of mountains and beaches. Aside from the golf, there is a whole host of activities and cultural experiences to be had whilst in Oman; from the Jabal Akhdar Mountains to the Mutrah Souq, historic cities and local cuisine. Golf found its roots in the Sultanate of Oman back in the late 1960’s, when the Royal Oman Golf Club was established. Fast forward to today, and Oman boasts some of the better golf facilities in the region. Golf in Oman has become a major player in the tourism and hospitality sector and have spurred some impressive residential developments throughout the country like LA VIE. Due to golf being the focal point of such developments, the property values have soared, making golf course residential purchases a prime investment opportunity for locals and expats alike.
