Weston Racquet Club Breast Cancer Fundraising Event
Weston Racquet Club hosted a “Friday Night Lights” Charity tennis Mixer on October 13th to help raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. Members were invited to wear Pink and the entry fee into the event with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Foundation.
It was heartening to see how the Club came together to support a meaningful cause and raise awareness for breast cancer. It was especially touching because a Club member, who has personally been affected by breast cancer, was involved in the process and had the opportunity to choose the organization to support for this year’s event.
The event was a huge success as its 26 participants raised over $1000. It will undoubtedly make a difference in the efforts of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. and their mission to provide resources and support for those affected by breast cancer in Australia.
Such initiatives not only contribute to fundraising but also foster a sense of community and solidarity within the Club. It’s a great example of how organizations can leverage their community’s strength to support important causes. Kudos to the Weston Racquet Club and its members for their dedication to making a positive impact!
