Team Troon On Tour: Team Kuchar with T5 at PNC
PNC Championship
This past weekend, PGA and LPGA Tour players teamed up with members of their family to compete in a scramble format at the PNC Championship in Orlando, Florida. Team Troon member Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, were in the field and held close to the top of the leaderboard during the event! They carded a 57 -15 the first round of the event, being only one shot off the tournament record. Justin Thomas and his father, Mike Thomas were also in the field and also landed in the top 20 for the event. Justin and Mike were paired with Tiger and Charlie in round one so there were a ton of Troon logo sightings on the broadcast and in press conferences (see this press conference leading into the event). It was also great week seeing so many major champions competing with family around the holidays. Great playing Team Kuchar and Team Thomas!
- T5 Team Kuchar: 57-68 = 19
- T13 Team Thomas: 64-66 = -14
LPGA– Q-Series
Stage 3 of LPGA Tour Q Series (aka Q School) recently wrapped up down at the Robert Trent Jones designed Magnolia Grove in Mobile, Alabama. This event is the final stage of Q School and outcome determines who will receive LPGA status for 2024. Team Troon member Benedetta Moresco qualified to be in the event (thanks to great performance in the prior two stages) and posted great numbers during the six rounds of this finale. She concluded the event T27 and -11, to earn status for the 2024 LPGA season. For those not aware, the Top 20 receive full LPGA Tour status. The next group (21-45) receive a different level of status (aka conditional status) which Benedetta earned. As such, she will play in as many LPGA Tour events as she can get into. When she is not playing in an LPGA Tour event she will be playing the in EPSON Tour events. Congratulations to Benedetta and we are very excited to see your success to come in 2024 and beyond!
- T27 Benedetta Moresco: 71-69-67-70-70-72 = 419 / -11
Following the great event, Benedetta took to social media and posted photos of her and her caddie, Chris Rose …with both rocking Troon gear/logos and tagging @Troon! Congrats to you both!
