Team Troon on Tour: Strong Finishes by Fitzpatrick and Watson and all six PGATOUR players headed to WM Phx Open

PGA TOUR – AT&T Pebble Beach

The last stop of the PGA TOUR’s “California Swing” wrapped up with the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am at Pebble Beach Golf Links (and other surrounding courses). The weather was amazing and the star studded celebrity field made for great television throughout the week. Matt Fitzpatrick was low Team Troon member. His  bogey free final round 68 rounded out his solid four round total of -14 to finish five back of first time winner in Tom Hoge, who punched his ticket to Kapalua. Congrats Matt on a great week.

Asian Tour – Royal Greens Golf & Country Club

Our Troon International colleagues and counterparts did a stellar job rolling out their “royal” carpet at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club  for the Asian Tour’s Saudi International. Team Troon’s Bubba Watson was in the field and played some amazing golf along the way. He shot a blistering final round 64 to post a -12 four round total and the clubhouse lead. He had a one shot lead over Harold Varner III…who was standing over a 90 foot eagle putt, where a two putt gets him into a playoff with Bubba. Harold ended up draining it for a walk off eagle and one shot victory over Bubba. In the show of great sportsmanship, Bubba was one of the first to congratulate Harold on the 18^th green. Congrats Bubba… Congrats Harold…Congrats to the Royal Greens/Troon International Team on a great event.

PGA TOUR – WM Phoenix Open

The PGA TOUR moves to Scottsdale, Arizona for “The Peoples Open” in the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Team Troon will be well represented with all six PGA TOUR Team Troon members in the field at what is the largest attended PGA TOUR event in the world. Team Troon members that are in Scottsdale include:

In advance of WMPhxOpen week Gary Woodland tweeted to his 116K followers a tweet that plugs the many Troon locations in AZ. Thank you Gary.

While not Team Troon related per say, congrats to the winner of the WM Phx Open Monday Qualifying event Ben Silverman! Ben shot 66 yesterday, the lowest score of 77 other qualifiers. Ben plays and practices at BallenIsles Country Club and will be rocking a BI bag/logo this week at WMPhx Open.
