Team Troon On Tour: Noren and Thomas lead Team Troon

To The World of Troon,

The Open Championship

Despite challenging weather conditions that tested the entire field, Team Troon made a strong showing at the Open Championship held at Royal Troon, Scotland. All Team Troon members successfully made the cut and delivered solid performances. Alex Noren led the charge for Team Troon, securing an impressive T13 finish. Noren’s consistency was evident in his rounds of 69-75-71-70, totaling 285 (+1). His opening round, highlighted by four birdies, set the tone for his strong performance, and he finished strong despite facing the most challenging conditions in round two. Justin Thomas showcased his skill with a spectacular start, carding seven birdies in the first round and six in the second. Although he faced some challenges in the later rounds, Thomas finished T31 with scores of 68-78-67-77, totaling 290 (+6). Matt Fitzpatrick and Gary Woodland both demonstrated resilience, tying for 50th place with identical totals of 293 (+9). Fitzpatrick’s four round total read 70-78-73-72, while Woodland posted 76-68-72-77, with a particularly strong second round.

The Team Troon members’ performances at Royal Troon underscore their ability to compete at the highest level, even in the face of the unpredictable Scottish weather that makes The Open Championship such a unique and challenging event. Solid playing Team Troon!

Shareable

In celebration of the Open Championship, it was exciting to see Matt Fitzpatrick’s Open Championship themed golf bag at Royal Troon this week on the NBC/Golf Channel broadcast. We took to social to share the news of its arrival and to share how the inspiration of the bag came from fellow Troon associate, Stephen Payne from Al Zorah Golf Club. Great idea Stephen and thank you for all that you and the Al Zorah Team do!

Speaking of Golf Channel…while not Team Troon per say, but is a timely shareable item: our 2024 Troon Brand spot/commercial ran on Golf Channel during the week of the Open Championship (6 Commercial spots – 3 Weekend, 3 Weekend ran during OPEN Championship coverage). CLICK HERE or the image below to view the spot that aired. The next airing of this will be combined with Troon Golf Vacations spots to run during the Napa Valley Golf Championship at Silverado Resort and then The Black Desert Championship at Black Desert Resort.

Have a great week and Go Team Troon!
