PGA TOUR – RBC Heritage 

What a great week it was in Harbour Town for #TeamTroon! A big congratulations to Matt Fitzpatrick on his second PGA Tour win at the RBC Heritage as well as career low on Saturday, 63! After all four rounds were complete and he signed at -17, it came down to a three hole playoff against RBC Heritage defending champion Jordan Spieth for the win. When the third hole approached it was Fitzpatrick’s 9-iron from the fairway that landed him a foot from the hole to tap in and claim the victory. Fitzpatrick’s family has been vacationing to Harbour Town since he was six years old, only to make his victory more sweet.

LPGA Tour – Lotte Championship

The LPGA made their annual stop to Hawaii for the Lotte Championship on the Island of Oahu. While this year’s event was contested at Hoakalei Country Club, a fun Troon factoid was that the Troon-managed Kapolei Golf Club hosted the Lotte Championship in April of 2021 (and crowned Lydia Ko as the champion). This year  #TeamTroon Yealimi Noh was in the field. She shot a second round 70 to get into the weekend and would finish with a four round total of 279 to finish 72nd.

  • 72nd  Yealimi Noh: 76-70-74-77 = 297 / +9

COMING UP

PGA TOUR – Zurich Classic
The PGA TOUR is swinging down to TPC Louisiana for a two man team event. Matt Fitzpatrick will join up with his brother to form Team Fitzpatrick in this fun team format. Go Fitzy…and Fitzy!

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS – Invited Celebrity Classic

The Champions tour is heading to Texas to play at Las Colinas Country Club in the Invited Celebrity Classic  April 21-23. Team Troon’s Colin Montgomerie will be in the field competing for the title and valuable Schwab Cup points.

FROM THE WEEK PRIOR – THE MASTERS

With smells of fresh cut grass and pimento cheese, the yearly trip to Augusta, Georgia was yet again amazing to watch. Despite the rain delay on Saturday, Troon Members Matt Fitzpatrick and Gary Woodland played solid all week and stayed in hunt through Sunday to both finish in the top 15. Great playing Matt and Gary!
