Staying TroonFIT with Steven Tinoco: Three Everyday Stretches
Aside from eating healthy and being more active, you should incorporate stretching into your everyday routine. This is a very under appreciated part of fitness and we all can use more of it. Whether you’re getting out of bed, ready for a workout or simply about to play a round of golf, these are my three absolute go-too stretches to wake up your entire body.
- 1. Standing Hands to Floor: Great for stretching out your legs and lower since everything starts from the ground up
- 2. Pigeon: Really opens up the hips and gluteus and allows for better rotation
- 3. Childs Pose: Excellent for anyone with lower back stiffness to help stretch out lower back muscles and relax your body
For each stretch be sure to inhale for a 4 count, hold for 2 count and exhale for 6 count. Breathing will help you relax your body and get a better stretch. Hold each pose for 30 seconds, 2 times each.
