As part of a multimillion dollar enhancement to Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Arizona, the driving range was completely renovated with the addition of six tees and target greens, built to US Golf Association specs. Attending the grand opening, course designer and Masters Champion, Fred Couples. “To play six holes, and say, ‘You know, Mom, I just played six holes, now we’re done and it only took an hour.’ The average span for most kids, because maybe they’re not good, is not three hours or two hours. Does it look like any other range? Yeah. But is it a little groomed and a little nicer and the greens look phenomenal and the bunkering is pretty sporty.”

The AK-Chin Southern Dunes golf course itself is named on Golf Digest “Top 100 Courses You Can Play.”
