Newport Beach Tennis Club: An Orange County Staple
Steeped in history, Newport Beach Tennis Club has been a tennis mecca in Southern California for decades. Cliff Drysdale Management, a Troon Company, has been selected to manage operations at Newport Beach Tennis Club, a private club located in Newport Beach, California.
Established in 1966, the Newport Beach Tennis Club (NBTC) has been a hub for tennis and social life in Southern California for over 50 years. Regularly ranked as one of the most prestigious clubs in the United States, Newport Beach Tennis Club has hosted numerous professional events including the Davis Cup, World Team Tennis, the Oracle Challenger Series, and many celebrity charity events. The club has also served as a home to some of the greatest players in tennis history, with both Ken Rosewall and Rod Laver serving stints at the club. A number of dedicated owners and managers have played an integral role in making NBTC the home of tennis in Orange County.
“Newport Beach is one of the finest clubs in the nation and I have many fond memories visiting,” said Cliff Drysdale, tennis hall of fame member and Co-Founder of Cliff Drysdale Management. “Legends of the game have called Newport home, and we look forward to upholding that reputation and enhancing the member experience.”
Situated on 7.5 acres of land, Newport Beach Tennis Club features 19 cham-pionship hard courts, all of which are lighted for night play, and one sunken stadium court with seating for up to 6,000 fans. The club also boasts a Junior Olympic sized heated swimming pool, newly remodeled fitness center, a club restaurant and bar, and full service pro shop.
