TROON NORTH GOLF CLUB TO OPEN FIRST CALLAWAY GOLF PERFORMANCE CENTER IN ARIZONA
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon North,® Golf Club, known for setting the standard by which all other desert courses are measured, is creating a new standard in club fitting and swing analysis. On March 8, Troon North and Callaway Golf,® will open a high-tech club fitting and teaching facility that will measure vital aspects of a golfer’s swing with remarkable accuracy. The facility, called the Callaway Golf Performance Center, is one of only 10 in the entire country and the first to open in Arizona.
The Callaway Golf Performance Center at Troon North is one of the most advanced club fitting and analytic tools in golf, providing golfers the same club fitting technology used to fit the world’s top touring professionals like Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, and Annika Sorenstam. The facility combines computerized analysis with the expertise of certified professionals, resulting in a superior fitting experience that provides golfers of all abilities their exact custom specifications.
The patented Callaway Performance Analysis System uses two high-speed cameras and ball-flight simulators while a computer monitor displays a breakdown of each golfer’s launch conditions – ball speed, launch angle and spin rates. In addition, the system measures the path angle and the golfer’s angle of approach to the ball, utilizing 3-D imagery and precision software designed by Callaway Golf’s world renowned research and development department. Everyday-golfers have never had the ability to employ such high-tech equipment to improve their performance and enjoyment on the golf course.
