TROON GOLF TO MAKE A DONATION TO THE RED CROSS
Scottsdale, AZ – In the wake of the recent tragedies that blindsided New York and Washington, the Troon Golf, the world leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing, has chosen to support the American Red Cross in their relief efforts to help the thousands of Americans affected in this unfathomable tragedy.
“The relief efforts of the rescue workers is a display of unimaginable heroism,” said Troon Golf Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dana Garmany. “We have chosen to help the Red Cross with their difficult task to ensure the safety and well-being of the victims and their families and provide the means necessary to make certain the rescue workers are given the resources needed in their continuing efforts.”
To align with the PGA Tour, NGCOA (National Golf Course Owners Association), and PGA of America, Troon Golf and several of its facilities will be doing its part to benefit the Red Cross. The facilities are going to select two days during the week of October 15th and will donate a percentage of their greens fee revenue to the relief fund. In addition, Troon Golf will match, dollar for dollar, any donation made by employee to benefit the Red Cross.
The thousands of rescue workers, the New York City Police Department and the New York City Fire Department have shown the utmost bravery in their lifesaving efforts in the rescue and recovery of the victims and Troon Golf commends their determination and compassion in a very difficult and exhausting task.
