PINETOP COUNTRY CLUB WELCOMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Pinetop, Ariz. (December 22, 2021) – Pinetop Country Club in Pinetop, Ariz. recently welcomed Ryan Lanzen as the club’s new General Manager. Lanzen will oversee club operations, food and beverage, agronomy, and sales and marketing for the private club. Lanzen was hired following an extensive nationwide search by a committee of key Pinetop Country Club leaders, Pinetop Country Club Board of Directors, in collaboration with the PGA of America and Troon.

A longtime resident of Arizona’s White Mountains, Lanzen is no stranger to the area having most recently served as general manager of Torreon Golf Club in nearby Show Low since 2014. Lanzen has 17-plus years of golf industry experience, beginning as an outside service attendant in 2003, before climbing to the positions of tournament director, first assistant, head golf professional and general manager. A dynamic leader, Lanzen has led operations at clubs throughout the U.S., including Branson Hills Golf Club in Branson, Missouri; Harmony Golf Preserve in Harmony, Florida; and The Woodmere Club in Woodmere, New York.

“Ryan is an accomplished leader in the golf industry who will immediately enhance our ability to continue to improve our membership experience at Pinetop Country Club,” said Pinetop Country Club Board President Andy Munter. “We are extremely fortunate to have Ryan lead our highly-talented team, as we continue to grow membership for the future, expand our clubhouse campus, drive our membership experience and continue strong financial viability for years to come.”

While attending Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, he played competitive golf, while earning a business degree with an emphasis in finance. He is a Class-A member of the PGA of America.

Pinetop Country Club recently completed a $4 million clubhouse renovation and is coming off a strong year of membership growth in all membership categories, with more than 450 members. Pinetop Country Club was established in the early 1960’s as the cornerstone of the Pinetop Country Club land development project and is located near the town of Pinetop, centered in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona. At 7,400 ft. in elevation, the mountain air is cool, and the golf course is nestled among gorgeous tall pines, aspens and some beautiful summer homes. Country Club amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Milt Coggins, Sr., tennis and pickleball courts, and clubhouse restaurant and lounge. The club is owned by its members, through equity stock, and managed by Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon.
