NINE TROON GOLF-MANAGED FACILITIES NAMED TO GOLF DIGEST’S “100 GREATEST COURSES” LIST
Scottsdale, Ariz. -Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce that nine of its managed courses were recognized on Golf Digest’s “100 Greatest Courses” list. The biennial list ranked six facilities as “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” and three facilities as the “100 Best Courses Outside the United States” for the May 2007 issue. Cap Cana’s Punta Espada Golf Club in the Dominican Republic made its debut in the rankings while the Ailsa course at The Westin Turnberry Resort and The Legend course at Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort continued their climb toward the top.

The Golf Digest Course Rating Panel is composed of more than 800 low-handicap men and women. The panel evaluates courses on seven criteria, giving each a scale of 1 (unacceptable) to 10 (perfect). The categories include: Shot Values, Resistance to Scoring, Design Variety, Memorability, Aesthetics, Conditioning and Ambience.
