How long have you worked in the industry and what brought you to work at Troon?

I have been working with Emaar Hospitality Group for 19 years (Golf Industry) and handled various positions before my recent promotion to Cluster Membership Manager for three Troon-affiliated clubs in Dubai (Arabian Ranches Golf Club / Dubai Hills Golf Club and Montgomerie Golf Club). Troon has been engaged at Montgomerie Golf Club for over 20 years, setting the standard for golf hospitality in the UAE. More recently, Troon was engaged with Arabian Ranches Golf Club & Dubai Hills Golf Club to help grow the overall market share for the ownership group. Troon provides an array of resources and best practices from around the world and I know from my peers, there is a lot of job opportunities to help us grow both professionally and personally.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping other people learn new things and expand their knowledge has always been my passion. I really enjoy interacting with the different guests and knowing I’m having a positive impact on their experience.

What do you do to help share the job opportunities we have at our facilities?

I’m always willing to share the success stories of Troon Associates and about Troon job opportunities to my friends and colleagues (via social media channels and LinkedIn).

Who would be your ideal foursome for playing golf?

Believe it or not, I don’t play golf myself. However, during my recent promotion, we were able to restructure the membership department so that each club has a Membership Executive. Over the coming months we are all taking golf lessons with one of our professionals, so they are my dream fourball!

What is one benefit about the game that helps to bring people together?

Golf is an introduction. If you let it, the game will lead you to the places you need to go and to the people you need to know. The first tee of a golf course is a fast track to new friendships.
