AUDUBON COUNTRY CLUB’S HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL NAMED “MERCHANDISER OF THE YEAR”

Naples, Fla. (November 7, 2019) – Audubon Country Club Head Golf Professional Justin DeFont was recently named “Merchandiser of the Year” by the Southwest Chapter of the South Florida PGA. 2019 award winners were recognized at the chapter’s fall meeting held in early October in Naples, Fla.

The Southwest Chapter of the South Florida PGA “Merchandiser of the Year” is awarded to the PGA Professional who has demonstrated superior skills as a merchandiser in the promotion of golf. The Chapter honors PGA Professionals in three categories: Private, Public and Resort facilities.

“I’m honored to be recognized by the Southwest Chapter of the South Florida PGA, but it’s a total team effort at Audubon Country Club,” said DeFont. “I’m blessed to work with an incredible team here.”

DeFont has been the head golf professional at Audubon Country Club in Naples since 2016.

Audubon Country Club is a well-established, private, low-density golf community with natural preserve areas along all 18 holes. The former single-story building is being replaced with a new two-story, 19,000 square-foot Lifestyle Center with tennis and fitness operations and a new casual indoor/outdoor dining area. Construction crews are working on the new member amenity, with completion slated for early 2020. The project will both modernize and expand the club’s fitness offerings, while also providing members with a breathtaking new dining experience.
