Al Hamra Golf Club Joins Asian Golf Industry Federation
Thrilling news out of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE on Friday as it was announced that Troon managed Al Hamra Golf Club has become the first golf club in the Middle East to become a member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Al Hamra Golf Club has undergone some significant improvements over the past 12 months and this membership will provide a fantastic opportunity for the facility to grow their reach in a key market.
“Al Hamra Golf Club has an extensive array of facilities to add to the wonderful championship course,” said Paul Booth, Al Hamra Golf Club’s General Manager. “The first-class practice facilities with short game greens and executive nine-hole par-three course are the perfect place for golfing enthusiasts to hone their skills.”
Booth, who has attended AGIF-organised Business Management Institute (BMI) courses, said, “At Troon Golf, we strongly believe in providing education to our staff. With its efforts to improve the lot of club management personnel and greenkeepers, we are pleased to support the AGIF.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Al Hamra Golf Club to the AGIF as our latest Golf Course Facility Member,” Eric Lynge, the AGIF’s Chief Executive Officer, said. “We’re delighted also to see the Federation attracting new members from beyond traditional Asian boundaries. This tells us that the Federation is on the right lines with the initiatives we are implementing.”
With the addition of Al Hamra to the AGIF’s membership roster, the Federation now boasts member clubs from 12 countries and territories – Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam.
