Ernie Els’ spectacular design on the island of Langkawi, Malaysia, The Els Club Teluk Datai, continues to collect awards, having been named amongst “The World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses” by Golf Digest. Included at 83rd place in the 2016-2017 standings, the venue joins some of the most well-known facilities across the globe and a number of fellow Troon properties on the list. With its unique Andaman Sea setting and the striking backdrop of the Mat Cincang mountains, Els and his design team were able to transform the rainforest and create a fair challenge without the use of bunkers.
