Team Troon On Tour: Matt Fitzpatrick with a Top Five At Memorial

PGA TOUR – The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday
This past week was “Jack’s event” in the Memorial Tournament, presented by Workday. Matt Fitzpatrick’s T5 finish led Team Troon, and was a standout performance finishing 2 under par on the tough course setup. Alex Noren also had a strong showing as well, securing a top 25 finish. This was Noren’s 10th top 25 result of the year. Justin Thomas’ performance at the event propelled him to 17th in the FedEx Cup Rankings. Lastly, The tournament coverage for the event was also great in that the broadcast team was joined by Jack Nicklaus himself, who shared his insights on the event’s history and the course changes over the years.

DP World Tour – Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed
The DP World Tour landed in Sweden this past week where Team Troon member Alex Fitzpatrick has his best finish year to date the unique, mixed event. He came out strong in his first round, carding a bogey-free round that also included 5 birdies and an eagle to shoot 65. He finished the week T4 -13. Great playing this week Alex!

PGA TOUR Champions – American Family Insurance Championship
The American Family Insurance Championship was next up for the PGA Tour Champions Tour where Colin Montgomerie completed his 9th start of the season. He finished the event top 50 and will be taking next week off. Enjoy your much deserved off week Colin!

COMING UP…
PGA TOUR – US OPEN
The 124th US Open and second major of the year is here and will take place at Pinehurst No.2. This is the 4th time that Pinehurst will be hosting and ALL of Team Troon from the PGA Tour will be playing. Matt Fitzpatrick, Alex Noren, Matt Kuchar, Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland and Erik van Rooyen.
Notable Team Troon US Open winners include Gary Woodland in 2019, Matt Fitzpatrick in 2022 and Troon Investor/Supporter Rory McIlroy in 2011.
LPGA Tour- Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give
The LPGA Tour is gearing up for the 10th anniversary of the Meijer LPGA Classic event in Belmont, MI. Team Troon member Benedetta Moresco will be making her way to the tournament after competing at Troon-managed Seaview Golf Club. That same week she also supported Golfzon Social event in New York where she stopped by the new Brooklyn location to host a clinic for guests as well as a Q&A session. This week’s LPGA Tour event marks another stop on Moresco’s stretch of LPGA Tour events as she continues her season. Good luck this week Benny!
